Star Tre Voyager was launched (from Deep Space Nine) to search for the elusive Maquis. However events unfolded that ended with an alien species known as the Caretaker transported Voyager and the Maquis to the other side of the galaxy to the Delta Quadrant. Captain Janeway sacrifices their only means to get home to protect an alien species. Voyager focuses on the crew of the USS Voyager and the Maquis vessel journey home.
